Cells are the basic unit of life. There are two primary types of cells. They are prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells have no true nucleus, while eukaryotic cells have a true nucleus.

Plant cells and animal cells are eukaryotic. There are however, some differences in the kinds of structures that can be found within each type of cell. For example, plant cells contain cell walls and plastids, while animal cells do not.
